Senior Payroll Compliance Manager

Lead payroll compliance for Morgan Construction in Edmonton, applying Canadian legislation, U.S. taxation, and advanced Excel skills onsite.

This Payroll Manager oversees a complex, multi-jurisdiction function supporting Canada and the United States. Reporting to the Controller, you lead payroll teams, governance, controls, reporting, and improvement initiatives. The role partners with Human Resources, Operations, Finance, and external advisors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and support the payroll team
• Maintain Canadian and U.S. payroll compliance
• Oversee payroll cycles, audits, filings, and escalations
• Maintain policies, controls, procedures, and governance frameworks
• Develop metrics, dashboards, reconciliations, and management reporting

Requirements:

• Payroll Compliance Professional designation required
• Ten-plus years of progressive payroll experience
• Payroll Leadership Professional designation preferred
• Advanced Excel and ERP payroll systems experience
• Strong accounting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
