Overview

As Senior Platform Architect, you will own the end-to-end production readiness and activation for customer deployments, shaping scalable patterns and operational standards. You drive the first production workflow, establish guardrails, and mentor customers and internal teams in best practices for reliability. You collaborate across Professional Services, Support, Partners, and engineering to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery and to translate production success into growth opportunities. This role offers the chance to influence platform architecture at scale and directly impact customer outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Own production readiness for customers and act as the single owner from purchase to stable production
  • Drive first production workflow and reduce time-to-production
  • Establish reliability, failure handling, scaling, and upgrade guardrails and best practices
  • Develop experts in Temporal SDK and Server best practices
  • Set up alerting to detect issues early
  • Handle challenging customer tickets and unblock activations
  • Optimize costs and performance for customers
  • Lead customer technical programs with KPI-driven success plans
  • Define standards for patterns, training, governance, and operational readiness
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Professional Services, Support, Partners, and internal teams to ensure timely, high-quality delivery
  • Proactively manage technical risk, migrations, and architectural debt
  • Set and validate reliability, observability, and operating standards
  • Monitor health signals and intervene proactively
  • Lead readiness reviews, maturity assessments, and production certification of workloads
  • Drive adoption by surfacing growth signals and translating production success into renewals and growth
  • Advocate for customer needs internally
  • Lead cross-team collaboration to unlock new workloads
Key requirements
  • 6+ years of professional software or solutions engineering experience
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, workflow orchestration, and reliability engineering
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Go, Java, TypeScript, or Python)
  • Experience building, deploying, and operating production systems at scale
  • Proven ability to debug complex technical issues and guide customers to resolution
  • Strong customer-facing communication with diverse audiences
  • Experience creating technical documentation, runbooks, and training materials
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently while collaborating across teams
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for customer engagements and team events
