Overview

In this role you drive complex compute and infrastructure initiatives within the Electronic Trading Platforms, aligning technical strategy with business goals. You will partner with Lines of Business to address needs in a low-latency trading environment, guide platform choices and automation, and mentor partner teams. As an expert advisor, you influence leadership and stakeholders while delivering scalable solutions that cross multiple domains. This is a high-impact, innovation-driven opportunity in a secure, global fintech environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead technology and process implementations to meet functional technology objectives
  • Collaborate with Lines of Business to address compute-space needs in a low-latency trading environment
  • Direct strategies for server hardware, OS tuning, automation, and infrastructure lifecycle
  • Serve as Design Authority for compute infrastructure stack including build/config mgmt and log/metrics aggregation
  • Interface with hardware and software vendors on product roadmaps for next-gen infrastructure
  • Make resource, budget, and process decisions impacting teams and operations
  • Maintain governance on coding decisions, control obligations, and cost of ownership
  • Deliver cross-domain technical solutions with broad reuse
  • Influence peers and senior stakeholders across business, product, and tech teams
  • Champion diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Key requirements
  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts
  • 10+ years of applied experience
  • Understanding of IPv4 networking (OSI model, unicast/broadcast/multicast, routing, network segregation)
  • Extensive experience with Configuration Management (Chef or Ansible)
  • Experience leading cross-functional technologist teams
  • Experience hiring, developing, and recognizing talent
  • Experience leading a product as Product Owner or Product Manager
  • Practical cloud-native experience
  • Expertise in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
