Overview

In this role you will help design and operate Global’s technology platforms, spanning cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and application hosting. You’ll build scalable, reliable platform solutions and drive automation across AWS, Kubernetes, and related tooling. You work closely with cross-functional teams to improve reliability, observability, and deployment processes while mentoring peers. This is a hands-on leadership role that shapes platform standards and engineering practices to support business-critical systems.

Responsibilities
  • Platform Engineering & Automation: maintain and enhance hosting and build platforms across AWS, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and GitHub; build automation using Python, Java/Groovy, Go, and Terraform
  • Technical Leadership & Best Practice: lead code reviews and promote standards for security, performance, maintainability, and testing
  • Operational Excellence & Collaboration: keep production environments reliable, improve observability, respond to alerts, mentor engineers and collaborate across the Technology department
Key requirements
  • Strong platform & cloud engineering experience across distributed systems with AWS and Kubernetes
  • Software development & automation skills across the full SDLC with coding and automation capabilities
  • Systems thinking with end-to-end view of platforms and services
  • Quality engineering mindset with well-tested, secure, performant code and infrastructure testing (Terraform Testing, BDD-style tests)
