Overview

Senior Platform Engineer at Civica helps scale and stabilize software delivery across product teams by translating platform standards into practical improvements. You focus on development workflows, CI/CD, observability, and production readiness to enable safer, faster delivery. You collaborate closely with engineering, coaching teams to adopt common tooling and practices, building trust in the platform. Responsibilities
  • Understand current delivery practices with product engineering teams and identify practical improvement opportunities
  • Help teams adopt Platform Enablement standards
  • Improve development workflows, build pipelines, automated checks, release processes, and production readiness
  • Provide hands-on engineering guidance to unblock teams and sustain progress
  • Translate central platform guidance into context-specific actions for each product team
  • Promote safe, reliable, and consistent software delivery across Civica
  • Capture feedback from product teams and turn friction points into signals for platform improvement
Key requirements
  • Experience working with product engineering teams to assess delivery practices
  • Ability to translate platform guidance into actionable steps
  • Hands-on engineering guidance to remove blockers
  • Knowledge of CI/CD and modern branching strategies
  • Understanding of observability, monitoring, and production readiness
  • Experience with secure software delivery and shift-left controls
  • Familiarity with infrastructure, environment, and configuration management
  • Stakeholder engagement and influencing without direct authority
