Senior Platform Engineer

In this role you will design, build and maintain scalable, secure cloud platform infrastructure that supports applications and internal tools. You will ensure the platform aligns with business needs, balancing performance, cost, and resilience across cloud services. You will work with cross-functional teams to improve CI/CD, monitoring, and incident response, driving operational excellence. • Design, build and maintain scalable, secure cloud platform infrastructure
• Manage cloud services across compute, storage and networking for performance, cost efficiency and resilience
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code and automation for provisioning and platform management
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines for safer, faster software releases
• Implement monitoring, logging and performance improvements to support operations and customer experience
• Collaborate with Development, Security, DevSecOps and Operations teams to deliver aligned platform solutions
• Champion security best practices, access controls and compliance in cloud environments
• Support incident response, troubleshooting and continuous improvement to reduce downtime
• Mentor and support engineers to grow technical capability across the team

• Strong experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or similar IT engineering role
• Hands-on experience managing cloud infrastructure at scale (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Knowledge of compute, storage, networking, serverless, virtualization and containerisation in cloud
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation and scripting (Terraform, Azure DevOps Services, Git, PowerShell, Bash, Python)
• Experience building or managing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI, or similar)
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
• Strong understanding of security, compliance and DevOps practices in cloud environments
• Clear communication skills across engineering, product, security and operations
