Senior Platform Engineer - AWS

In this role, you will lead the design of core components of a modern digital service platform and its automation, build, deployment, and support. You’ll collaborate with engineering, testing, product management and security teams to deliver high-quality software. You’ll promote an inclusive DevOps culture and drive scalable, secure, and reliable services in production. The position offers learning opportunities as you work with new technologies and mentors for junior colleagues. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build, test and deploy software of high quality
• Ensure use of modern technologies and alignment with industry standards and best practices
• Support an inclusive DevOps culture and coach junior team members
• Drive architectural decisions to ensure scalability, security, reliability and performance
• Support services in live operation and continuously improve production services
• Represent team voice in discussions with customers on design and direction
• Develop expertise and potential specialisms in emerging technologies
• Participate in implementing Continuous Delivery for production releases

• Strong teamwork skills in a multidisciplinary environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication to technical and non-technical audiences
• Extensive experience with configuration management, infrastructure provisioning and automation tools
• Fluency in at least one scripting language: PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ruby, Go, or Groovy
• Experience designing, building, testing, automating, monitoring and supporting components in a modern digital service platform
• Proven ability to produce scalable, resilient, secure, and cost-effective designs and advocate MVP
• Experience with modern CD processes and cloud-based infrastructure
• Active Security Clearance required for this role
