Overview

Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and evolve the internal developer platform and cloud infrastructure, enabling product teams to deliver high-quality software at scale. You will drive automation, self-service tooling, and cloud-native best practices across a modern platform engineering function. You’ll shape CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes environments, and IaC implementations while advancing GitOps, observability, and reliability. This role offers impact in a growth-minded software business undergoing transformation, with collaboration across Engineering, Security, and SRE teams.

Responsibilities
  • Build and enhance the Internal Developer Platform (IDP) capabilities
  • Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
  • Manage and optimise Kubernetes environments in production
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible
  • Drive GitOps practices and platform standardisation
  • Improve platform reliability, security, scalability and cost effectiveness
  • Create golden paths to reduce developer cognitive load and accelerate delivery
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Security and SRE to improve operational excellence
  • Champion modern engineering practices including observability, automation and resilience engineering
Key requirements
  • 4+ years in Platform Engineering, DevOps or Cloud Infrastructure
  • Strong production Kubernetes experience
  • Hands-on Azure cloud technologies experience
  • Terraform and Infrastructure as Code expertise
  • Experience building and supporting scalable distributed systems
  • Strong CI/CD and automation experience
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills
