Senior Platform Engineer D365 F&O

Location: Toronto, ON (3 days per week onsite)

Compensation: $130,000 base salary

We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer responsible for managing the technical delivery lifecycle of Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O), including source control, branching strategies, Azure DevOps administration, build and release management, deployable package creation, platform and application version updates, environment governance, custom extension development, and relationship with Microsoft Fabric.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical role working with Dynamics 365 F&O.
  • Experience managing complex D365 F&O platform and application updates.
  • Development excellence, with a strong command of X++ for customizations and solution extensions.
  • Proficiency in SQL, .NET C#, Power Platform, Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate, and Azure DevOps.
  • Strong understanding of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and DevOps best practices, including source control, branching and merging strategies, code updates, CI/CD pipelines, and release management in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience planning and managing enterprise application environments, including provisioning, configuration, backup and recovery, environment refreshes, and platform and application upgrades.
  • Experience designing and executing performance and regression testing strategies to validate system scalability, stability, and business functionality across application updates and releases.
  • Experience designing and implementing scalable and reliable D365 F&O integration architectures using Data Management Framework (DMF), OData APIs, and business events, including monitoring, observability, and error-handling patterns.
