Overview

In this role you will act as a DevSecOps point of contact within the Threat Hunt platform team, safeguarding Morgan Stanley's assets through detection and resilience work. You will support the Cyber Data Platform, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help scale automated security tooling and monitoring. The position emphasizes hands-on platform engineering, service integration, and strategic improvements to the threat hunt stack. You will drive reliable, secure infrastructure and play a key role in reducing risk across the organization. This is a VP-level role that blends technical leadership with hands-on execution.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the DevSecOps point of contact for internal and external clients
  • Monitor alerts and perform on-call troubleshooting using runbooks and escalation paths
  • Onboard internal and external users to the Cyber Data Platform
  • Collaborate with SMEs to integrate applications into MFA and troubleshoot core services
  • Work with other Morgan Stanley teams via ServiceNow to install hardware, request maintenance, and resolve network connectivity issues
  • Advise on and implement strategic solutions within the threat hunt technology stack
  • Troubleshoot hardware-level, network, switch, and firewall issues
Key requirements
  • Six+ years of platform engineering experience
  • Bachelor in STEM
  • Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills
  • Software development with Python, Kubernetes (K8s), Elasticsearch (Elastic), NiFi, and Kibana
  • Automation of repetitive tasks using Python, Bash, and automation tools
  • Solid understanding of DevOps and automated CI/CD pipelines
  • Ability to design and implement monitoring and alerting systems
  • Proficiency with Git, version control, and code reviews
  • Deep knowledge of Linux (Red Hat/CentOS preferred) and enterprise networking
  • Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools
  • Experience with Ansible, IaC, and OS/configuration tooling
  • Experience patching and updating infrastructure across BIOS, firmware, drivers, kernels, OS, apps, and databases
  • Understanding of cyber analytic techniques is desirable
