Senior PLM Analyst

In this role you will define and lead the development and deployment of Siemens NX CAD and PLM systems, while maintaining legacy CAD/PDM environments. You will act as a SME, coach engineers, and deliver training and documentation to raise data quality and user proficiency. Collaborating with IT, vendors, and cross-functional teams, you will shape PLM/CAD processes to support automotive engineering. The opportunity offers hands-on system optimization, governance, and impactful deployment across design and manufacturing workflows.
Responsibilities- Manage Siemens NX CAD and PLM systems for mechanical, controller, and manufacturing data
- Conduct code reviews to raise technical capability of the team
- Lead engineers as SME for core CAD/PLM tools to ensure data quality and proficiency
- Deliver user guidance, training (online and in person) to promote best practices
- Create procedures and work instructions for system use
- Develop functional and non-functional requirements to improve PLM/CAD processes
- Lead development, testing, and deployment of new/enhanced tools to meet PLM/CAD needs
- Maintain legacy CAD and PDM data within SolidWorks environment
- Support IT with hardware/software upgrades and testing
- Liaise with 3rd party vendors to resolve issues
- Research and stay updated on latest PLM/CAD technologies and tools
- 3+ years of specialised experience with project ownership
- Foundational understanding of PLM with automotive context and data management
- Experience with Teamcenter BMIDE and ITK; proficiency in workflow design and attribute mapping; knowledge of Siemens AWC
- Experience setting up dispatchers and resolving workflow issues
- Good understanding of CAD systems (NX preferred) and engineering design process
- Experience delivering user support, guidance documentation, and training
- Skilled in project planning, system testing, and data migration
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to present to varied audiences
- Knowledge of system workflows and business processes (CAD release, BOM, change management)
- Ability to specify system hardware (CAD stations, servers) is advantageous
- Analytical, detail-oriented, able to distill user needs into requirements and prioritize backlog
