Senior PLM Analyst

Overview
As a PLM Analyst, you will lead the strategy, deployment, and ongoing governance of PLM, PDM, and CAD environments to support product development. You will collaborate with engineering, IT, and business stakeholders to shape the PLM roadmap, manage upgrades, licenses, and budgets, and mentor a small PLM team. You will drive data-driven improvements through reporting and analytics while ensuring robust process standards. This is a technology-led role focused on enabling scalable engineering processes and data governance.
Responsibilities- Lead the selection, deployment, and ongoing management of PLM solutions
- Develop and deliver strategic roadmaps for PLM and CAD system enhancements
- Manage CAD environments, including Siemens NX and associated engineering databases
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement business requirements and processes
- Support legacy CAD and PDM environments where required
- Manage engineering software licensing, maintenance renewals, and budgets
- Produce reporting and analytics to support service performance and budgeting decisions
- Provide user support, training, and best-practice guidance
- Develop procedures, documentation, and work instructions
- Manage relationships with external vendors and technology partners
- Build and lead a high-performing PLM team
- PLM experience within automotive or a complex engineering environment
- Strong knowledge of CAD systems, ideally Siemens NX
- Experience delivering system implementations, upgrades, testing, and data migrations
- Understanding of engineering processes including BOM management, change control, and design release workflows
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills
