Overview
As a Senior/Principal Engineer, you will spearhead a new London-based Development Infrastructure team, delivering detailed highways and drainage designs for developer clients. You will shape project execution from concept to technical approval and mentor junior engineers as the team grows toward senior leadership. You’ll influence how the team operates and collaborate with developers, authorities, and stakeholders to manage development schemes. This role offers a clear growth path into Associate and beyond within a dynamic, expanding consultancy.

- Lead development schemes from concept to detailed design and technical approval
- Deliver detailed highways design (S278/S38) and drainage design
- Develop drainage strategies and flood risk assessments
- Coordinate highways and drainage infrastructure and prepare technical drawings/packages
- Liaise with developers, local authorities and stakeholders; support technical approvals
- Mentor and develop junior engineers and contribute to team growth and recruitment
- Support progression to Associate and senior leadership roles
- Significant experience in development-related highways and infrastructure design
- Strong experience delivering detailed highways design, particularly S278/S38 schemes
- Strong experience in drainage design and drainage strategies
- Experience preparing or contributing to Flood Risk Assessments
- Understanding of SuDS and surface water management
- Proficiency with Civil 3D
- Degree qualified
- Working towards Chartership or Chartered
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
