Overview

As a Platform Engineer, you will design, build and operate a greenfield OpenStack-based private cloud to power Arm’s engineering workloads. You’ll implement IaC and automation to deliver scalable, reliable infrastructure services and improve developer experience. You’ll work across infrastructure and software, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the upstream community to advance platform reliability and performance. This role offers the chance to shape a modern cloud platform used globally and to grow in cloud, software, and platform engineering.

Responsibilities
  • Design, build and operate a secure OpenStack environment
  • Implement systems using Infrastructure as Code
  • Develop automation and tooling to extend the platform
  • Support and enhance infrastructure CI/CD pipelines
  • Monitor, identify and fix issues across compute, storage and networking
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and platform teams to enable frictionless end-user workflows
  • Contribute to 24/7 platform reliability, scalability and performance tuning
Key requirements
  • Experience with Linux systems
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform/Ansible or other IaC tools
  • Experience in a DevOps / SRE environment
  • Programming experience in Python or similar
  • Ability to debug compute, networking, and storage in large production environments
