Senior Product Manager, Payments Enablement & Adoption

Overview
In this role you drive adoption, rollout and ongoing usage of the Swift payments scheme. You will bridge banks, vendors and internal teams to translate scheme capabilities into measurable value across regions. You’ll shape the product story, enable scalable rollout, and support communities through change, all while upholding the scheme’s values of predictability and trust. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role focused on practical adoption and long-term usage at scale.
Responsibilities- Understand end-to-end payment journeys and articulate how scheme features improve experience and efficiency
- Lead rollout of new or enhanced scheme capabilities with clear positioning and adoption plans
- Engage with the payments community via workshops, briefings and calls to drive uptake and gather feedback
- Translate scheme intent into practical guidance for consistent implementation across institutions and markets
- Collaborate with Product, Standards, Architecture and Technology to align evolution with real-world constraints
- Identify adoption challenges early and coordinate with stakeholders to address them
- Create enablement assets (usage guides, FAQs, adoption playbooks, materials) for banks and vendors
- Support regional/global teams with concise messaging about value, scope and usage
- Monitor adoption signals and feed insights into product and scheme evolution
- Contribute to the value proposition and roadmap with a focus on scalability and long-term usage
- Strong experience in payments and cross-border processing models
- Understanding of payment schemes and standards; ISO 20022 knowledge is a strong advantage
- Ability to explain complex scheme concepts clearly and credibly
- Experience supporting product or service rollouts and driving usage across a customer base
- Mindset oriented to adoption, consistency and scale; not only design
- Structured, pragmatic and outcome-oriented
- Ability to influence without formal authority in a matrix environment
- Detail-conscious and quality-driven with focus on end-user impact

- 10+ years of professional experience in payments, scheme management or related roles
