Overview

As Senior Product Owner, you will help define the product strategy and roadmap for Aptia’s Digital Products, aligning with business value and delivering measurable benefits. You’ll lead by example with engaging cross-functional stakeholders and own the product lifecycle for key apps such as OneView, Contact Aptia Pensions, and the Mobile App. You will build and mentor a team of Product Owners/Analysts while ensuring high-quality, on-time delivery within budget. This hybrid role offers impact across multiple locations, shaping pension administration solutions at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Define product strategy and prioritise the roadmap based on business value
  • Lead delivery of the product lifecycle for assigned products (OneView, Contact Aptia Pensions, Mobile App)
  • Direct and develop a team of Product Owners and Analysts (technical standards, agile ways of working, people development)
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to deliver an integrated vision for Pension Administration applications
  • Ensure deliverables meet quality criteria, time, and budget
  • Manage stakeholder relationships across multiple locations and with third-party suppliers
  • Establish a competency framework with KPIs and a reporting framework for team performance
  • Identify skills gaps and learning opportunities to build technical capability
  • Maintain MI and controls to govern roadmaps and technical deliverables
  • Work with Product Engineering and other departments to resolve BAU issues and drive strategic improvements
  • Govern resourcing, capability, and capacity planning to support delivery
  • Adhere to standards and QA procedures in all deliverables
Key requirements
  • Experience in the Employee Benefits and/or Life & Pensions industries
  • IT project management experience
  • Proven ability to build and maintain internal relationships across departments and countries
  • Technical development experience with a track record of delivery and business objective achievement
  • Experience in a commercial environment undergoing major change
  • Track record of prioritising resources to meet deadlines and priorities
  • Experience leading/managing teams across multiple sites
  • Experience working with offshore teams and 3rd-party suppliers
  • Experience in negotiation and conflict resolution
