Overview

In this Product Owner role, you drive value across multiple insurance products by shaping the backlog and aligning work with strategy. You enable cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions, guiding priorities and ensuring quality from user stories to releases. You will coach other POs, collaborate with domain managers and delivery teams, and translate business needs into actionable work. This is a hands-on, strategic role in a collaborative and innovative culture that enables progress for clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities
  • Create, maintain and prioritize multiple product backlogs aligned to vision and outcomes
  • Ensure backlog items include user stories, enablers and defects and are ready for execution
  • Accept stories against standards and definition of done to ensure quality
  • Coach other Product Owners and facilitate cross-functional collaboration
  • Define sprint goals and facilitate sprint planning with delivery teams
  • Define clear acceptance criteria for each user story
  • Plan and manage product releases in line with strategy and priorities
  • Track product metrics and ensure quality and nonfunctional requirements are met
  • Rank backlog items to deliver high-value work in line with product strategy
Key requirements
  • Proven experience as Product Owner managing multiple products in large-scale systems
  • Ability to lead multiple Agile teams (Dev, QA, Design) and business stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills to influence and present technical information
  • Experience with insurance domain and lifecycle (commercial and specialty)
  • Proficiency in translating business outcomes into technical user stories
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum/SAFe frameworks and product management tools
  • Bachelor in related field
  • Certifications: Scrum Product Owner and/or SAFe POPM strongly preferred
  • Experience with platforms such as DuckCreek, Guidewire, Unqork, UW Platforms, Submission & Clearance Systems, Extraction or AI-driven platforms
  • Influence and stakeholder management
