Senior Product Test Design Engineer

As a Senior Product Test Development Engineer, you design, validate, and support test equipment for electronic systems across board, sub-system and system levels. You’ll contribute to safety-critical programmes within an R&D-driven environment, collaborating across disciplines to deliver scalable test solutions. You will lead design reviews, mentor junior engineers, and help ensure through-life support and obsolescence management. This role offers long-term progression and exposure to advanced technology.

• Design and develop functional test equipment for electronic systems
• Lead hardware/software integration and fault diagnosis
• Provide lifecycle and production support, including issue resolution and obsolescence management
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines to deliver scalable test solutions
• Lead design reviews and produce high-quality technical documentation
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers

• Strong knowledge of analogue and digital electronic circuit design
• Ability to produce detailed technical design documentation
• Experience transferring designs into production environments
• Excellent hardware fault-finding and debugging skills
• Test software development experience
• Experience supporting and debugging system integration
• Eligibility for UK Security Clearance (minimum BPSS, ideally SC)
