Senior Production Scheduling Algorithm Developer

Design production scheduling algorithms remotely from anywhere in the UK and Europe, using optimization, heuristics, and strong software engineering skills. Build enterprise solutions for complex manufacturing challenges.

As a Senior Algorithm Developer, you will develop algorithm-backed products across the full software lifecycle. You will model real-world scheduling constraints, evolve core scheduling logic, and apply advanced techniques, including AI/ML where appropriate. Your work supports Kinaxis Enterprise Scheduling, a configurable platform for production planning and detailed scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and test scheduling models and constraints
• Translate manufacturing requirements into computational and mathematical models
• Apply heuristics, metaheuristics, and targeted AI/ML techniques
• Define unit, integration, regression, and performance testing strategies
• Collaborate across engineering, product, QA, and support

Requirements:

• Deep knowledge of scheduling algorithms and optimization techniques
• Five-plus years developing algorithms in production environments
• Proficiency in Java, C++, C#, or similar languages
• Enterprise software delivery and automated testing experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field
