Senior Project Engineer (Software)

In this role you will lead customer software projects from planning through implementation to go-live and handover. You’ll work within an established tech-enabled engineering business delivering software and integrated systems for manufacturing customers. You’ll drive governance, risk control, and delivery cadence while coordinating software, technical and installation teams. This is a hands-on, visible role that shapes project outcomes and customer operations, with site-based work and occasional travel. A strong PRINCE2 background will underpin successful delivery.

• Manage customer projects from order handover through development, installation, commissioning and close-out
• Establish project plans, milestones, resource requirements and a regular cadence of reviews and updates
• Lead project governance with clear records of risks, decisions, actions and dependencies
• Control scope changes and assess impact on costs, resources and delivery commitments
• Coordinate internal teams, customers and third parties (site readiness, training, acceptance)
• Manage transition into support and capture lessons learned
• Contribute to pre-order reviews to ensure delivery risks are understood before commitments
