Senior Project Finance Associate Ottawa

Financial modelling and transaction execution define this permanent EDC opportunity in Ottawa, with hybrid work requiring three office days weekly.

As Associate or Senior Associate, you will support structured and project finance transactions at Export Development Canada. The work involves financial analysis, credit structuring, due diligence, legal documentation, and stakeholder engagement. Associates and Senior Associates may participate in the Project Finance Associate Program, tailored to experience and development needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research industries, sectors, regions, and comparable projects
• Construct cash flow models and conduct financial analysis
• Support due diligence on complex project finance loans
• Prepare credit packages and participate in documentation negotiations
• Manage stakeholder engagement and assist portfolio oversight

Requirements:

• Finance, international business, or related graduate education
• Minimum two, five, or seven years of relevant experience
• Direct project finance, structured finance, or investment banking experience
• Financial modelling, credit analysis, structuring, diligence, and documentation experience
• English communication, negotiation, and spreadsheet proficiency
