Shape event-driven backend architecture with Python, Kafka, and Kubernetes at BoostSecurity in Montreal, QC. Work alongside AI coding agents.

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will own architecture, judgment, and quality across BoostSecurity’s software supply chain platform. Build Python microservices with Kafka, MariaDB, GraphQL, AWS, and Kubernetes. Translate product intent into plans, direct agents, review their output, and maintain a high testing bar.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shape architecture for event-driven Python microservices
  • Direct AI agents across services and repositories
  • Review code for correctness, security, and maintainability
  • Improve agent workflows, CI, and test infrastructure
  • Diagnose production issues during on-call

Requirements:

  • Seven or four plus years building high-quality backends
  • Strong Python experience
  • AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes experience
  • Distributed-systems troubleshooting experience
  • Hands-on AI-assisted development experience
