Overview

As a Senior Python Developer you combine hands-on coding with technical leadership to design and deliver a scalable SaaS calculation platform for cyber security insurance. You will shape architecture, set technical direction, and collaborate with Product Owners to align work with business goals. You’ll lead code quality across the team, mentor peers, and drive CI/CD and best practices to boost delivery efficiency. This role offers impact through cross-functional collaboration and opportunities to influence product and engineering culture.

Responsibilities
  • provide technical leadership and design complex solutions
  • define technical requirements aligned with business objectives
  • contribute to architectural decisions and architectural designs
  • collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to prioritise tasks
  • conduct code reviews and mentor engineers
  • champion quality, testing methodologies, and QA standards
  • drive development efficiency, including CI/CD initiatives
Key requirements
  • strong Python backend experience
  • experience building FastAPI applications
  • knowledge of Azure (AWS also acceptable)
  • experience working with data at scale
  • experience leading/mentoring small to medium technical teams
  • solid Computer Science fundamentals (data structures, design patterns, OOP)
