Overview

Senior Python Developer to build and maintain automation, backend services and tooling for telecoms and network operations in a large-scale tech environment. You will focus on Python-based automation, REST APIs, and backend development, supporting testing, monitoring and operational efficiency across 5G and enterprise platforms. This hands-on role involves collaborating with QA, Network Engineering and DevOps to deliver scalable automation solutions. You’ll work with modern tech stacks and contribute to reliable, maintainable systems that enable faster network operations.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop and maintain Python-based automation frameworks and scripts for network testing, data processing and workflows
  • Build RESTful APIs using Flask and FastAPI for internal services and cross-team integrations
  • Create lightweight web interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Jinja2
  • Work with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB and Redis for application data
  • Build and maintain Docker and Docker Compose environments for deployment and testing
  • Develop CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab
  • Develop Linux automation using Bash, shell scripting and cron jobs
  • Integrate Python applications with telecom network systems and APIs
  • Implement automated validation, health checks and service monitoring
  • Collaborate with QA, Network Engineering and DevOps to identify automation opportunities
  • Support scalable, reliable and maintainable engineering solutions
Key requirements
  • Strong commercial Python development experience
  • REST API design with Flask and/or FastAPI
  • SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis)
  • Linux proficiency and Bash scripting
  • Docker and Docker Compose experience
  • CI/CD experience (Jenkins and/or GitLab)
  • Git/version control proficiency
  • Python automation libraries (Requests, Paramiko, Subprocess, Schedule, Pandas)
  • Networking fundamentals (HTTP, TCP/IP, DNS, SSH)
  • Cross-functional collaboration
