Overview

In this Senior Python Developer / Consultant role, you will own client bespoke projects end-to-end, delivering cloud-based applications using Python and AWS. You’ll work closely with clients within a small, growing team and make technical decisions that accelerate delivery. The role combines hands-on development with client-facing responsibilities in a profitable legal-tech scale-up. This is a chance to shape greenfield features and contribute to scalable SaaS for law firms.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with clients to understand requirements and own bespoke development work end-to-end
  • Build cloud-based applications using Python and AWS
  • Make technical decisions and iterate quickly with tangible results
  • Work independently within a small, growing Manchester team with hybrid WFH
  • Engage with clients to ensure successful delivery and alignment with business needs
Key requirements
  • Strong Python backend development skills (ideally FastAPI)
  • Experience with AWS including Amazon CDK
  • Client-facing experience
  • Solid understanding of DevOps principles
  • Full software development lifecycle experience and modern software engineering practices
  • Business acumen with start-ups or SMEs
  • Proactive and contributing to product improvements
  • Degree in Computer Science or similar technical discipline
  • Active Github account and/or personal projects (preferred)
  • Client-facing communication
