Overview

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will own the testing lifecycle from requirements analysis to automation, collaborating with project teams to ensure high-quality delivery. You will drive risk-based testing, create formal artefacts, and advance automation using Playwright and TypeScript. You will contribute to quality engineering improvements and explore AI-assisted testing approaches. This role sits in Arcadis' IT team, supporting sustainable design and complex assets projects. You will work autonomously with minimal supervision and mentor others where needed.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to understand requirements, identify risks and define test approaches
  • Produce test estimates and contribute to project planning and delivery activities
  • Create and maintain formal testing artefacts (Test Strategies, Plans, Specifications, Reports) aligned with contractual/regulatory delivery
  • Ensure test coverage through risk-based testing, requirements traceability and QA best practices
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test suites and frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript
  • Identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency and coverage through automation, tooling, process improvements and AI-assisted solutions
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of software quality assurance experience
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management across technical and non-technical teams
  • Experience leading or coordinating testing activities across software projects
  • Experience analyzing requirements, assessing risks, estimating testing effort, and defining test approaches
  • Experience creating and maintaining formal, auditable testing documentation in regulated environments
  • Hands-on experience developing and maintaining test automation with Playwright and TypeScript
  • Experience testing web applications, APIs, and integrated systems
  • Experience writing and executing SQL queries and analyzing database data
