Senior QA Engineer Playwright Testing

Veriday Inc. needs a Senior QA Engineer to transform manual regression coverage into Playwright automation during a remote Canadian contract.

This six-month engagement, with potential extension, focuses on browser-based testing within Agile delivery. You will translate existing manual documentation into Azure DevOps Test Plans, select high-value automation candidates, and maintain traceability. JavaScript or TypeScript on Node.js, regression strategy, defect triage, and reporting are central to the work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and organize manual regression tests
• Translate test documentation into structured executable automation
• Maintain test plans, suites, runs, and result traceability
• Refine AI-generated Playwright tests for reliability
• Document frameworks, conventions, and maintenance runbooks

Requirements:

• Seven or more years as a test automation individual contributor
• Experience translating manual tests into automation
• Strong understanding of regression, smoke, and end-to-end strategy
• Experience with Azure DevOps Test Plans and results management
• Ability to assess coverage, duplication, gaps, and business value
