Overview

Cboe Europe is seeking a Senior QA Manager to lead a team of software quality engineers for the European exchange platforms. You will align testing with development and business goals, prioritise and staff projects, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines and testing tools. You’ll apply AI techniques to QA within the SDLC and develop diverse test scenarios for equities, options, futures, and indices. This role supports a high-performance trading system and follows a four-day in-office model in London.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of software quality engineers responsible for testing and deploying the Cboe Europe high-performance trading system
  • Translate testing requirements into automated regression tests for Exchange platforms
  • Review code and mentor junior team members
  • Contribute to new tool designs and testing techniques
  • Apply modern AI techniques to QA activities within the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Familiarize with supported asset classes and develop test scenarios
  • Learn trading concepts to support test coverage across equities, options, futures, and indices
Key requirements
  • Recent management experience overseeing quality assurance teams
  • Ability to hire top QA talent and grow engineers
  • Three years of planning, organizing, and leading test efforts or testing teams
  • Experience implementing an AI-centric SDLC in QA
  • Practical experience with Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, or similar
  • Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks – LangChain, AutoGen, or equivalents
  • Coding experience in Python or willingness to learn Python
  • OO design and programming skills
  • Experience with PostgreSQL and SQL
  • Version control experience (Git preferred)
  • CI/CD experience with Jenkins or Bamboo
  • Atlassian toolset experience a plus
  • Experience in financial markets and knowledge of order entry or market data protocols (standout)
