Overview

As QA Leader, you shape the quality vision, strategy, and execution for a global platform, driving measurable customer and business outcomes. You will lead a distributed QA organization, partner with senior leadership, and embed quality across delivery. Expect to steer transformation from reactive testing to proactive quality engineering and to scale quality practices across geographies. This is a strategic, impact-focused role that blends hands-on technical engagement with executive communication and change management.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the QA function across a global platform through influence
  • Define and evolve quality strategy aligned to business objectives and roadmaps
  • Coordinate with Global VP of Quality & DevOps on initiatives and execution
  • Drive transformation toward proactive quality engineering
  • Build, mentor, and scale a global QA organization across geographies
  • Create career development paths and succession plans for the team
  • Foster continuous learning, innovation, and excellence
  • Oversee enterprise test strategy, planning, and execution across the platform
  • Coordinate multi-team testing initiatives and influence outcomes without direct authority
  • Drive automation strategy with ROI and coverage metrics
  • Own release management and quality gates for production deployments
  • Implement quality metrics, governance, and reporting frameworks
  • Balance strategic leadership with hands-on technical work
  • Translate quality strategies into executive communications for decision-making
  • Build trusted relationships with Product, Engineering, and Business leadership
  • Champion quality in cross-functional forums and strategic planning
  • Represent the quality perspective in architectural and business decisions
  • Contribute to an inclusive, safe work environment for all Flighties
Key requirements
  • Approximately 15 years in software quality assurance with progression into strategic leadership
  • Minimum 5 years leading QA teams
  • Proven success building and scaling QA in multi-product environments
  • Experience embedding quality practices and culture across engineering
  • Strategic leadership and organizational change management capability
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders from executive to technical levels
  • Expert knowledge of testing methodologies, frameworks, and quality strategies
  • Strong experience with test automation tools (UiPath, Cypress, Playwright or similar)
  • Proficiency with Azure DevOps
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and quality gates
  • Familiarity with quality metrics, governance, and reporting
  • Advanced testing certifications (ISTQB-CTAL or equivalent) preferred
  • Experience with global distributed teams preferred
  • Travel industry, GDS, booking systems, or Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience advantageous
