Overview

In this role you will own automated data testing within a multi-vendor data migration program. You will validate data pipelines, transformations, and analytics on an AWS-based data platform, ensuring data quality and reliability. You’ll work in an agile Data Factory setup, building reusable test assets and aligning with cross-functional partners to deliver quality data solutions. This is an opportunity to shape testing practices for data-centric initiatives and contribute to a high-impact migration to a modern Lakehouse architecture.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and execute automated data tests aligned with requirements
  • Ensure test data governance and quality controls
  • Validate data quality dimensions and perform source-to-target reconciliation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple vendors
  • Translate data mappings and business rules into automated test scenarios
  • Develop reusable test scripts using approved automation frameworks
  • Test data feed migrations from legacy warehouse to new AWS Data Lakehouse
  • Execute automated tests in sprint-based and regression cycles
  • Document test results, metrics, and quality status
  • Support CI/CD with automated test execution and version-controlled assets
  • Provide validation for data readiness during releases
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers, Platform Engineers, and SMEs to validate test coverage
Key requirements
  • Experience in data engineering testing
  • Strong AWS data pipelines knowledge (Data Warehouse, Data Lakehouse)
  • Proficiency in Python/PySpark, SQL, YAML
  • Experience building test automation frameworks from scratch (OO and scripting)
  • Experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions or similar)
  • Knowledge of AI-driven testing solutions and accelerators
  • Familiarity with data quality concepts and testing methodologies
  • Experience with JIRA, XRAY, and ADO for defect management and reporting
  • Solid problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a multi-vendor, agile environment
