Senior Quality Engineer – Mobile Testing

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Quality Engineer with strong expertise in manual testing of native mobile applications.

This role is approximately 70% Manual Testing and 30% Automation. The ideal candidate should have deep hands-on experience testing native iOS and Android applications, strong API testing skills, and working knowledge of Python API automation and Appium-based mobile automation.

This is not an automation-heavy position. Strong manual, exploratory, functional, regression, and end-to-end testing experience is the primary requirement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform extensive manual testing of native iOS and Android applications.
  • Conduct functional, exploratory, regression, sanity, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
  • Create and maintain detailed test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and regression suites.
  • Validate application behavior across different mobile devices, OS versions, and environments.
  • Perform strong API testing using tools such as Postman.
  • Identify, document, and track defects through the complete lifecycle using Jira.
  • Work closely with development and product teams during sprint and release testing.
  • Review automated test execution results and investigate failures.
  • Support Python-based API automation as needed.
  • Maintain and enhance Appium-based mobile UI automation.
  • Support continuous testing and release validation using Jenkins.
  • Maintain QA documentation in Confluence and Xray.

Required Skills

  • 6+ years of strong Manual Testing experience.
  • Deep hands-on experience with Native Mobile Testing.
  • Strong experience testing both iOS and Android applications.
  • Strong API Testing experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Python API Automation.
  • Strong experience with Appium Mobile Automation.
  • Strong experience with Functional, Regression, Sanity, Smoke, and Exploratory Testing.
  • Experience with Postman and REST APIs.
  • Experience with Jira, Xray, and Confluence.
  • Knowledge of Android Studio and Xcode.
  • Experience with BDD/Gherkin.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
