Senior Quantity Surveyor - Data Centre Europe

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will lead the commercial delivery for major civils packages on hyperscale data centre projects across Europe. You’ll guide cost control, contract administration, and subcontract performance within a fast-paced environment, aligning with the Commercial Manager and the QS team. You will act as the commercial lead for civils works, shaping outcomes through robust reporting, risk management, and value engineering. This role offers exposure to high‑impact projects and progression into senior commercial leadership.

• Commercial leadership for civils packages (earthworks, utilities, drainage, RC foundations, external yards, duct banks)
• Own budgets, forecasting, cashflow, CVRs, and margin protection across civils workstreams
• Manage NEC/FIDIC contracts, early warnings, CE/VO assessments, and contractual correspondence
• Lead procurement, negotiation, contract award, and ongoing performance of civils subcontractors
• Oversee monthly valuations, progress assessments, and commercial reporting to senior leadership
• Drive change control, pricing and tracking of variations in a fast-changing DC environment
• Lead commercial risk reviews, mitigation, and value‑engineering initiatives
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, planners, client teams, and subcontractors to maintain alignment
• Support and mentor QS/Graduate QS team members; maintain commercial standards
• Maintain dashboards, trackers, CVRs, and governance documentation for reporting

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or Construction Economics
• 5–10 years’ experience in civils, concrete, utilities, or infrastructure
• Strong experience delivering civils packages on data centres, pharma, semiconductor, or other fast‑track industrial projects
• Deep working knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 or FIDIC
• Proven track record managing civils subcontractors (earthworks, drainage, RC, utilities)
• Strong commercial reporting, forecasting, and negotiation skills
• Ability to work on rotation or long‑term assignment in Europe
