Senior Quantum Computing Physicist

Lead superconducting-circuit experiments at Nord Quantique in Sherbrooke, Quebec, advancing quantum processor performance through measurement, calibration, and error correction.

This senior Engineering position focuses on experimental quantum computing with superconducting circuits. You will develop and scale technology while working closely with Quantum Theory, Electromagnetic Design, and Software teams. The work combines scientific investigation, hardware development, and technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead experimental campaigns supporting roadmap priorities
• Measure quantum error correction and gate performance
• Implement quantum error correction codes and gate schemes
• Develop and validate calibration routines
• Digest scientific data for design and theory teams

Requirements:

• PhD in experimental physics or related field
• At least five years of industry experience, including postdoctoral work
• Experimental campaign leadership experience
• Circuit QED and quantum error correction understanding
• Python, git, and advanced English communication skills
