Senior React Native Engineer - Client Platform

Senior React Native Engineer in IG Group’s Client Platform team, focused on advancing AI-enabled tooling for coding, testing, and deployment. You will shape cross‑platform UI architecture and performance, working hands-on to build internal AI-assisted tooling and ensure secure, observable pipelines. You’ll collaborate with product, security, and engineering to drive AI adoption and maintain high-quality, scalable frontend systems. • Apply expert React Native and UI skills to enhance performance, architecture, and code quality across the Client Platform
• Build and maintain internal tooling integrating AI into daily engineering work (coding assistants, AI-assisted test generation, deployments, defect triage)
• Contribute to observability of the AI-assisted pipeline to show tooling activity and gaps
• Identify and automate manual steps in coding, testing, and release to enable unattended workflows
• Break work into small, releasable pieces for continuous delivery
• Collaborate with product on domain scope to ground delivery in real needs
• Drive improvements in ways of working and AI adoption as ongoing value creation
• Collaborate with test and PM teams to bring AI into the testing pipeline (exploratory tests, defect clustering, flaky-test detection, smarter test prioritisation)
• Evaluate and roll out LLM-based developer tools (e.g., Claude Code), integrating with Jira, Confluence, GitLab
• Define standards for responsible AI use in SDLC (data handling, prompt hygiene, guardrails)
• Mentor engineers on AI tooling, React Native architecture, and performance best practices
• Coordinate with security/compliance to meet regulatory data requirements
• Track metrics (cycle time, defect escape, test coverage, delivery turnaround) and iterate based on data

• Extensive background as a Software Engineer with production systems experience
• Highly skilled in React Native and UI development with a track record of performance/architecture improvements
• Strong fluency in test-driven development and pair programming
• Ownership experience: designed, built, deployed, and supported features in production
• Genuine appetite for aggressive automation and removing manual steps
• Experience evaluating or using LLM-based developer tools in engineering environments
