Senior React & Node Developer (AI & Full Stack)

In this role you will help build AI-powered products from scratch within a small, experienced engineering team. You will work across the full stack, shaping architecture and delivering production-ready software in collaboration with product, design and AI specialists. You’ll prototype and scale concepts from MVPs to scalable solutions, using modern frontend and backend skills with cloud-native delivery. You will apply AI-assisted tooling to improve quality and speed, contributing to a fast-moving, product-focused environment. This is a hands-on role with ownership of technical direction and meaningful impact on product outcomes.

• Design and build full-stack applications from concept through production
• Develop POCs, prototypes and MVPs for AI-driven products
• Architect scalable, maintainable software solutions
• Build frontend interfaces with React and collaborate with UX/UI designers
• Develop backend services and APIs using Node.js, Express.js and Python
• Implement secure authentication with OAuth
• Build cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure
• Containerise applications with Docker
• Conduct code reviews across React, Node.js, Express.js and Python
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity
• Collaborate with Product, Design and AI teams to shape technical direction
• Produce technical plans and architectural documentation
• Validate ideas with customers and stakeholders before scaling

• 7+ years’ commercial software engineering experience
• Strong experience with React
• Backend development with Node.js, Express.js and Python
• Experience collaborating with UX/UI designers
• Solid understanding of software architecture and modern engineering practices
• Experience mentoring developers
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools to accelerate development
• Experience building proofs of concepts, MVPs and greenfield apps
• Experience working with Microsoft Azure
• Experience with Docker and containerised apps
• Strong knowledge of OAuth and secure API design
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs
