Senior Realtime Collaboration Engineer

Own Knak’s realtime editing engine using CRDTs, WebSockets, Cloudflare Workers, and Durable Objects for collaborative marketing creation.

As a Senior Software Developer focused on the Editor, you will solve distributed-systems challenges beneath a sophisticated web application. You will harden synchronization against reconnects, stale clients, and partial failures while ensuring editor features remain correct. Your work will also support AI agents editing alongside people.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evolve multi-user editing with CRDTs and WebSockets
• Harden synchronization against reconnects and partial failures
• Ensure concurrent editing behaves correctly across features
• Contribute to editor architecture and design decisions
• Collaborate with product, design, QA, and DevOps

Requirements:

• Six-plus years of significant full-stack development
• Production experience with realtime systems and reconnection
• Strong distributed-systems knowledge and failure handling
• TypeScript and Vue 3 expertise, including performance tuning
• Collaborative editing experience such as CRDTs or OT welcomed
