Senior Reliability Engineer

Overview

In this role you will strengthen the reliability of Fitch Group’s cloud-based applications by leveraging AI-assisted tooling, observability, and automation. You’ll collaborate with globally distributed teams to design, build, and operate reliable, high-performing services that drive business value. You’ll shape security, resilience, and developer velocity across cloud environments, enabling scalable delivery and robust disaster recovery. • Collaborate with globally distributed development teams to design, build, and operate reliable, resilient, and high-performing applications and services
• Design and manage CI/CD pipelines to optimize build processes and deployments for reliability, security, and efficiency
• Identify, contain, and mitigate risk across all cloud environments while maintaining robust security posture
• Implement proactive monitoring and observability to detect and prevent issues before user impact
• Develop and maintain automation and tooling solutions, including AI-assisted approaches to reduce toil
• Uphold infrastructure standards and design patterns across all cloud environments
• Troubleshoot high-priority incidents and facilitate blameless post-mortems
• Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to advance secure cloud platform strategy
• Plan and execute disaster recovery testing to validate business continuity
• Promote cost-conscious design and share knowledge across multidisciplinary teams
• Participate in on-call rotation

• 5+ years of experience with AWS services (VPC, EC2, ECS, EKS, ELB, S3, RDS)
• 5+ years of experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong knowledge of Python, Go, or PowerShell
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and GitOps tools such as Terraform and ArgoCD
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly
• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a technology-related field preferred
