Senior Reliability Engineer

Overview
In this role you will lead reliability qualification for optical components, partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure product robustness. You will analyze ageing and failure modes, develop degradation models, and communicate results to customers. You’ll apply physics-of-failure methods to inform design and manufacturing decisions while shaping reliability programs. This position offers impact across product life cycle and opportunities to influence technology and process improvements.
Responsibilities- Define and implement optical component reliability qualification programmes
- Assess ageing characteristics and quantify risks via degradation models
- Interface with customers on reliability documentation and work
- Solve problems through test, characterization, and statistical data analysis
- Master in Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, Material Science or related discipline
- 5+ years in semiconductor optoelectronics with reliability and qualification experience
- Experience in reliability framework tools (DFR, FMEA, FTA)
- Proficiency in accelerated life testing and life-prediction using statistics (Reliasoft/Weibull++, JMP, Minitab, Python)
- Ability to communicate technically with internal and external customers
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills
