In this role you will work on advanced RF systems central to mission-critical defence and aerospace programmes. You’ll contribute to full RF lifecycles, delivering high-performance architectures for challenging environments. Responsibilities
  • Develop innovative RF engineering solutions for complex technical challenges aligned with programme objectives
  • Design and layout RF circuitry for high-frequency and microwave applications (receivers, transmitters, antennas, synthesizers)
  • Support manufacturing, integration, and test activities; contribute to technical documentation
  • Perform link analysis, propagation studies, and RF TPM tracking; conduct system/subsystem trade analyses
  • Define and allocate RF system requirements and contribute to lifecycle considerations (cost, reliability, availability, maintainability, system effectiveness)
  • Engage with senior engineers and stakeholders to influence system design and programme direction
  • Contribute to development of new RF concepts and architectures
  • Lead or contribute to major RF work packages with potential technical leadership
Key requirements
  • Experience in RF engineering or related discipline
  • Strong RF circuit design, microwave systems, and subsystem integration experience
  • Proven ability to develop and optimise RF system architectures including antennas, transmitters, receivers
  • Experience with RF testing, performance analysis, and validation against requirements
  • Strong understanding of RF system trade studies, link analysis, and performance modelling
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, Physics, or related discipline
  • Independent work with limited direction
