Reporting to the Manager, Risk, the Senior Risk Analyst is responsible for conducting risk analysis and completing due diligence to mitigate financial and other risk for the export portfolio business line in alignment with the enterprise risk management program. Interacting with multiple touchpoints in the organization, the role provides a large breath of experience and understanding of the business.
What you’ll be doing
- Conductfinancialriskanalysesofsuppliers,foreigngovernments,andprivatesector customers; utilize available data, analytics, and insights e.g., credit agencies and financial institutions; identify opportunities and manage risks to support decision making
- Review,analyze,andassessforeignanddomesticcontracts,ensureclausesmeet financial risk standards, provide input on conditions and tailored packages to mitigate and reduce exposure e.g., financing, payment structure, insurance requirements, performance bonds, guarantees
- Respondtofinancialriskissuesarisingincontractmanagementphaseandprovide advice and guidance on solutions to minimize detrimental impact
- Supporttheenterpriseriskmanagementprogramwithattentiontobusinesscontinuity planning, business impact analysis and security; research and ensure best and better practices; and provide training
- Leadorparticipateonprojectsandworkinggroups,provideinputandadvice,and undertake research and information gathering to inform decisions
- Preparereportsandbriefingnotesforvariousaudiences
- Provideinformationsupporttoavarietyofinternalandexternalaudits
- Developandmaintainriskmanagementpolicies,proceduresandsupportingtools
What you’ll bring to CCC
- Completionofuniversitydegreeinfinance,commerce,orbusinessadministration
- CPA or CFA designation in good standing
- Minimumof fiveyearsexperienceinfinancialriskmanagement
- Knowledgeoftheoriesandprinciplesoffinancialmanagement,accountingandcost accounting practices, and financial statement analysis
- Knowledgeoffinancialduediligence,generalriskmanagementpracticesrelatedto banking and/or surety industries, and international trade
- Knowledgeofrelevantgoverninglegislation,regulations,andguidelines
- English Essential, bilingualism in both official languages is strongly preferred
