Senior Risk Controls Analyst

Assess critical risk report controls in Bedford, Nova Scotia, using risk management expertise and regulatory compliance knowledge in a full-time role.

As a Senior Analyst within Enterprise Shared Data Management Services and Operations, you will evaluate control adequacy and effectiveness. The work covers applicable regulatory requirements, data analytics, and control assessment reviews. You will also support risk-based scoping, stakeholder management, and methodology improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Scope and deliver timely, accurate control assessment reviews
• Evaluate control adequacy, effectiveness, and regulatory compliance
• Track action plans with CDO teams, business lines, and IT partners
• Perform data analytics on risks and controls
• Support audits, regulatory enquiries, and committee reporting

Requirements:

• Financial institution experience in compliance, risk management, or internal audit
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance risk management best practices
• Understanding of data transfer and authorization controls
• Knowledge of data transformation and operational information management risk
• Data governance certification or Agile and JIRA experience preferred
