Senior Risk Manager

In this role you will lead risk management across major UK infrastructure projects, advising on governance and assurance within the Integrated Programme Controls team. You will engage with senior stakeholders, shape risk approaches for bids, and develop robust risk artifacts to support informed decision making. You’ll mentor colleagues, drive identification and prioritisation of risks, and apply quantitative analysis to set contingencies. • Engage project teams to implement risk management effectively
• Contribute risk input to bids and proposals to win new business
• Perform risk assurance checks to ensure quality of project risk management
• Communicate risk data to senior leaders and stakeholders
• Produce comprehensive risk reports to support decisions
• Coach and mentor staff in risk management best practices
• Facilitate identification, assessment and prioritisation of risks
• Develop Risk Registers, Risk Management Plans, and Risk Mitigation Plans
• Conduct Quantitative Risk Analysis (QCRA/QSRA) using Monte Carlo to establish contingencies
• Design and implement risk management frameworks for projects and programmes
• Support cost, scheduling, project controls and change management teams as needed

• 3+ years in risk management
• 2+ years on high-value projects
• Bachelor’s Degree or risk management qualification (MOR, APM Risk, IRM)
• Experience in multi-discipline project environments
• Proficiency with Industry Risk Management tools (ARM, Xactium, RiskHive, Predict)
• Experience in QCRA/QSRA using Safran, Primavera Risk Analyser, @risk
• Knowledge of ISO31000, IRM, or APM methodologies
• Willingness to travel across sectors
• People management and facilitation skills
• Knowledge of engineering and construction management
• Working knowledge of current project management methodologies
