Senior Ruby Engineer

Location: London - Hybrid (4 days in the office)

Salary: Up to £110k per annum

As a Senior Ruby Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the team by contributing hands-on to product development while also guiding and mentoring junior developers. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hybrid technical leadership position, balancing their time between coding and coaching.

Key Responsibilities:

• Programming (75%):
• Build and maintain robust, scalable Ruby applications.
• Write clean, efficient, and testable code following industry best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.
• Coaching and Mentoring (25%):
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
• Lead code reviews, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
• Act as a mentor to junior developers, helping them grow in their roles.

What We're Looking For:

• Extensive experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
• Experience mentoring and coaching developers, with a passion for leadership.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
