Senior Rust AI Infrastructure Engineer

Build Rust infrastructure for intelligent AI agents as a Senior Software Engineer, working fully remotely from Canada. Design reliable services for production systems.

This senior engineering role focuses on production infrastructure powering AI agents at scale. You will develop backend services supporting model inference, orchestration, and execution across distributed systems. The work includes transforming experimental capabilities into scalable solutions serving millions of users, while addressing latency, throughput, fault tolerance, observability, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design infrastructure powering production AI agent systems
• Build Rust services for inference and orchestration
• Architect distributed systems supporting millions of users
• Develop model serving and production monitoring infrastructure
• Implement observability, recovery, and reliability mechanisms

Requirements:

• At least five years building high-scale production software
• Strong Rust and systems-level programming proficiency
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and fault tolerance
• Experience optimizing latency, throughput, and resource utilization
• Experience with machine learning infrastructure or MLOps
