Overview

In this role you will identify and scope AI-enabled opportunities across Elsevier’s Salesforce ecosystem and related platforms. You will translate business needs into actionable requirements for agentic AI solutions, leveraging Data Cloud and MCP-based integrations. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design future-state processes, assess data readiness, and enable responsible AI use. This position offers the chance to shape AI-enabled workflows that improve experiences and drive cost efficiency, in a fast-moving, innovation-focused environment.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with business and product teams to identify AI agent, automation, and data unification opportunities
  • Document current and future-state processes incorporating Agentforce, Data Cloud, and MCP integrations
  • Gather requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for AI agent workflows including guardrails and human-in-the-loop
  • Assess data readiness with data engineering for Data 360
  • Plan workshops to scope use cases, evaluate feasibility, and align stakeholders
  • Produce detailed user stories and acceptance criteria for development and QA (Agentforce builds and MCP integrations)
  • Communicate trade-offs of AI-driven solutions and raise issues to management
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with senior stakeholders about AI capabilities and responsible use
  • Analyze existing systems to identify viable AI/automation opportunities vs traditional automation
  • Track and translate developments in Agentforce, Data Cloud, MCP into concrete opportunities
  • Support change management and adoption with documentation and enablement materials
Key requirements
  • Proven experience in BPMN process modelling and eliciting business requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Hands-on Salesforce experience (Sales Cloud / Service Cloud); working knowledge or strong interest in Agentforce and Data Cloud (Data 360)
  • Familiarity with AI concepts (prompt engineering, RAG, tool calling, MCP) and translating business needs into technical requirements
  • Understanding of data architecture fundamentals (data unification, identity resolution, data quality)
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and how AI components fit into it
  • Ability to plan and run workshops with cross-functional teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for non-technical stakeholders
  • Agile delivery experience (Agile, Scrum, Kanban)
  • Experience with Lead-to-Cash and familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Slack, Microsoft Office/Teams
