Overview

In this role you will drive laboratory digitalisation and data management to support data-driven scientific innovation. You will optimise the ELN for daily lab use and build a central data repository to connect R&D, Quality and IT. You collaborate with scientists and stakeholders to translate requirements into ELN configurations, integrations and dashboards. This position combines hands-on ELN administration with advanced data methods to enable compliant, scalable decision making. A meaningful hook is shaping data infrastructure that underpins regulatory-ready product development.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with R&D, Quality and IT to capture ELN requirements
  • Analyse workflows to identify automation opportunities
  • Configure ELN modules (Inventory, Registry, Workflows) for sample tracking
  • Design and implement ELN integrations via APIs
  • Develop custom ELN workflows and perform testing/troubleshooting
  • Create dashboards and reports to monitor R&D data
  • Provide ELN training and day-to-day user support
  • Monitor data integrity and compliance with ELN policies
  • Liaise with ELN support and Kyowa Kirin Group for ELN initiatives
  • Lead development of a central Technical Development data repository
  • Coordinate data capture methods and long-term analytical goals with Quality and IT
  • Support adoption of LIMS as part of expansion initiatives
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • 3+ years in a scientific laboratory environment with ELN administration and data science experience
  • Experience configuring schemas and custom ELN workflows
  • Preferably Benchling ELN experience
  • Knowledge of Cell and Gene Therapy industry is desirable
  • Strong programming skills (Python, JavaScript, or Java); SQL experience preferred
  • Experience in laboratory informatics or data management tools
  • Understanding of GxP, ALCOA+ and 21 CFR 11 requirements
