Senior SDN Network Software Engineer

Build AI Inference Networking software at Equinix using SDN, proxying, and open-source engineering expertise. Work within a globally distributed development team.

As a Senior SDN Network Software Engineer, you will help develop open-source software for Equinix’s AI Inference Networking portfolio. The work combines network infrastructure, cloud security, APIs, and software development. You will engage with developer communities, standards bodies, and stakeholders while supporting product roadmap goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop AI Inference open-source software globally
• Cultivate Equinix’s open-source presence across relevant organizations
• Document product features with stakeholders
• Estimate backlog effort and define schedules
• Evaluate technologies for product features and platforms

Requirements:

• 5+ years designing highly redundant SDN infrastructure
• Experience with L4/L7 proxying and secure transport
• Understanding of OSI layers and applications
• Programming experience in Go, Python, C/C++, or Rust
• DevOps experience with GitHub Actions and DORA metrics
