Senior Search Machine Learning Scientist

As a Senior Applied Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence Scientist, you will shape Faire’s next-generation Search engine. Apply query understanding, dense vector retrieval, personalization embeddings, and multi-stage ranking. Own search components from problem framing through production code, experimentation, and roadmap decisions. Your work connects retailer needs with technical choices across wholesale discovery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Integrate LLMs, retrieval, ranking, and reinforcement learning
• Own search components from framing through production
• Design experiments and ship models to live traffic
• Serve personalized product feeds below 100 milliseconds
• Improve team practices through reviews and post-mortems

Requirements:

• Three-plus years building production machine learning systems
• Experience in search, recommendations, or retrieval relevance
• Knowledge of dual encoders, ANN serving, or learning-to-rank
• Strong Python and production engineering skills
• Clear communication and excellent product judgment
