Senior Security Data Engineer

Build security analytics foundations at Sun Life with Python, AWS, and data modeling expertise in a hybrid work environment. Protect client data through reliable engineering.

This senior Data Engineer role supports Sun Life’s global Security Analytics initiative. You will manage data repositories, develop cloud pipelines, and enable threat intelligence, user behavior analytics, and predictive modeling. The work requires strong data management, analytics, and cross-functional liaison skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain repositories supporting behavioral analytics, reporting, and insights
• Develop Glue and Lambda jobs using Python
• Build user data models for behavioral insights
• Manage data requests and transition successful PoCs into production
• Mentor junior members and coordinate small projects

Requirements:

• Five or more years managing data and analytics
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience
• Expert programming and database development skills
• Intermediate Python, Spark, Glue, Lambda, or HQL proficiency
• Reliability Status Clearance and applicable background checks
