Senior Site Reliability Engineer AWS

Build resilient AWS infrastructure as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at BMO in Toronto, using automation, observability, and secure engineering practices.

This senior DevOps and SRE position supports premium financial platforms within BMO’s mission-critical technology teams. You will design, build, and operate scalable infrastructure across hybrid on-premises and AWS environments. The work emphasizes reliability, security, automation, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure solutions
• Build automation frameworks for deployment, scaling, and observability
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, release strategies, and recovery mechanisms
• Lead incident response, triage, and root-cause analysis
• Participate in production support and on-call rotations

Requirements:

• Five-plus years in DevOps, SRE, or related roles
• Strong AWS and Infrastructure as Code experience
• Experience with Dynatrace, Elasticsearch, and CloudWatch
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, and/or JavaScript
• Financial services experience and hybrid work availability
